How our sessions are shaped
Each Latterly programme begins from the same position: that a thorough understanding of later-life planning — its vocabulary, its documentation, its structures — is a genuine advantage before engaging with professional advisers. We do not provide advice ourselves; we prepare participants to use advice well.
Sessions are built around small groups, practical materials, and a pace that suits the subject. We move through each topic carefully, return to earlier points when that is useful, and create space for questions throughout. The result is a different kind of familiarity — one that holds up when participants are sitting across a desk from a financial planner or pension specialist.
All content is general and educational in nature. Latterly operates as an educational and information service only.

Orientation Workshop

Suited to those wanting a calm, structured first overview — no prior knowledge assumed.

Ideal for those who feel the subject is manageable but would welcome a calmer, organised approach to their own documentation. Supports the organisation of your own materials — does not assess or advise on those materials' contents.

No personal documents or circumstances are shared among the group or retained by Latterly after the session.
Content review cycle
All session content is reviewed on a rolling basis to maintain accuracy against current general guidance.
No incentivised referrals
Latterly receives no fees for referrals to any external professional service providers.
Plain language
Technical terms are explained rather than assumed. Participants leave with vocabulary, not just exposure to it.
